What's great about it?
Nice Color, Great Value
What's not so great?
Bowl has metallic residue

This is my first KitchenAid mixer. It has a nice color and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I am so excited to used it today for the first time to bake a coconut cake. Before using the mixer, I washed the bowl and all the attachments came with it as you would normally do when you buy a brand new appliance. While I was pouring the white cake mix in a pan, I noticed a metallic color at the bottom of the bowl. When I scraped it with a plastic spatula I can see the metallic residue from the bowl mixing in with the cake mix. I called the 1-800 number to voice out my concern and they instructed me to purchase Bar Keeper's Friend to clean the bowl. We went to Lowe's to purchase the cleaner and once we get home I cleaned the bowl. The metallic residue was so nasty. I have to clean the bowl three times to be sure it doesn't have any metallic residue before I use it. Recommendation: KitchenAid should make note of this in their User Manual.
